Audio Recorder

This is the help file for the Audio Recorder.

To use this feature, click Utility on the top menu, then select Audio Recorder to display its screen.
Refer to the picture below for its drop-down boxes and options.

Drop-down boxes

  1. Microphone: Shows all internal and external microphones. If you plug in a new microphone, click the Refresh button to update the list.
  2. Channel: Choose mono or stereo.
  3. Sample rate: Available options include 8,000, 16,000, 32,000, and 44,100 Hz. It is recommended to use 44,100 Hz.
  4. Minutes: Choose a recording duration between 15 and 90 minutes. This is only the maximum allowance; you may stop recording at any time.
Note: After clicking the Stop button, you must save the recording if you want to keep it.

Buttons

  1. Get Output File: Choose the output file for saving the recording. You may set this before or after recording.
  2. Save Audio: Save the current recording to the selected output file.
  3. Record: Start recording. Speak into the microphone.
  4. Play/Stop: A toggle button used to play or stop playback.
  5. Rewind: Jump back to the beginning (00:00:00).
  6. Help: Show this help file.

Slider

The slider shows the recording or playback position. It moves from left to right during playback or recording. You can drag it to any position to play from that point, if audio has been recorded.
