Picture of the Unlock Document

The purpose of this checkbox is to prevent from entering or modifying the document because sometimes users may enter or press characters to the document by accident instead of choosing menus or options.
It is also a safe feature for children and unexperienced users to use without altering the original document.
It is recommended to leave it checked if using mostly for reading.

Text cannot be entered or edited when the Lock checkbox is checked and its color is red.
While reading is in progress, this checkbox is automatically checked to prevent data entry, and to highlight reading words correctly.

To unlock the main document when this checkbox is checked, click it to show its window to enter password.
This password is randomly generated each time, and it can be highlighted with the mouse and copied (Ctrl + C), pasted (Ctrl + V) to the Confirm password field, then click the button to unlock.
An easier way to unlock is to type ok in either upper or lower case letter to the Confirm password field followed by the Enter key.
To lock it, just check its checkbox when it is unchecked.

Notes:
  1. This checkbox is checked or unchecked on each initial startup of this software based on the Lock Document checkbox at setting preferences, refer to this picture where it is located SettingPreference.html under Others group.
  2. Clicking each time shows its Unlock Document window to unlock when it is already checked.
  3. When creating a new file by selecting New under File menu, it is unchecked because it is ready for data entry to the document.
