In this lesson, we learn traffic lights and some road signs used in the USA.

Roadway signs in the United States increasingly use symbols rather than words to convey their message.
Symbols provide instant communication with roadway users, overcome language barriers, and are becoming standard for traffic control devices throughout the world.
Familiarity with symbols on traffic signs is important for every road user in order to maintain the safety and efficiency of our transportation facilities.

Traffic Light Colors

RED: It means that you must make a complete stop before entering the crosswalk or intersection and wait until the light turns green before proceeding.
YELLOW: It warns that the light is changing from green to red. Slow down and prepare to stop.
GREEN: It means that you may proceed if it is safe to do so after stopping for pedestrians and yielding to vehicles within the intersection.

ORANGE: Construction and maintenance warning
YELLOW: General warning. Advisory of unexpected roadway conditions

GREEN: Guide or directional information
BLUE: Motorist services guidance. Identify parking spaces for disable drivers.
BROWN: Areas of public recreation, cultural and historical significance
