Multimedia

This help file describes how to use the Multimedia tab.
It works similarly to the main document area but provides fewer file buttons. Files can be opened into this tab whenever it is focused.

To use it, click the Multimedia tab.
Its purpose is to act as a background layer with its own volume, speed, and pitch settings.
To change these parameters, click the three vertical dots while the tab is active.

You may use the main menu’s File and Insert commands with this tab. Before opening or inserting files, click the tab to ensure it has focus. A red blinking border around all four sides indicates that it is focused.

Text can be copied and pasted into this tab and edited as needed, but it cannot be saved to a file.

It is recommended to turn down the volume so reading text or playing music is not as loud as the main document. Click the Multimedia tab to show its window with options. All actions on that window apply only to this document.
To access Setting Audio Options, click the three vertical dots. Notice that the title will show Setting Audio Options: Multimedia rather than Setting Audio Options: Main.

Other menus and buttons operate the same way as those on the main document.

While reading or performing other actions, this tab may be closed to hide it from view.
